St Kitts and Nevis’ official currency is the East Caribbean dollar. Many businesses will let you pay with US dollars, but change will be given in East Caribbean dollars. You can change money at banks; US dollars are the cheapest to exchange. Major credit cards and traveler’s checks are accepted almost everywhere. Many banks have 24-hour ATMs.

St Kitts and Nevis’ electrical current is 230 volts, 60Hz and uses both round, three-pinned and rectangular, three-pinned plugs. Many hotels also have a 117-volt supply.
