Peak Season:

After your flight to Calgary lands, there are busses, shuttle services and taxis available at the gate to take you into the center of the city. Once in downtown Calgary, public transportation is efficient and affordable via train or bus. The Light Rapid Transit System (LRT), also known as the C-Train, is free to ride along 7th Avenue in the downtown area.
For travel further from this area you can buy tickets to your destination on the C-Train platform. Full-day fares on the C-Train are less than CAN $6, so smart spending on your trip can continue long after your Calgary cheap flight lands.
The only hold-up with public transportation in Calgary is that it doesn’t operate for 24 hours, so be sure to check the schedules for your trains when you’re heading out for a night on the town.
