Terminal Transfer

A free underground inter-terminal train runs between all terminals and the airport hotel. The TerminalLink, an over-ground automated people mover, provides an airside connection between Terminals B and C.

Getting into Town

Taxi: Taxis are available outside each terminal.

Limousine: A regular limousine service is provided between the airport and Galveston by Galveston Limousine Services (tel: 409 744 5466 or 1 800 640 4826). For up-to-date information, schedules, and reservation requirements, visit the company's Web site (www.galvestonlimousineservice.com).

Bus: Shuttle services are provided by Coach USA/Express Shuttle USA (tel: 713 523 8888; Web site: www.coachusa.com) and Texans Super Shuttle (tel: 713 781 6660; Web site: http://texansshuttle.com) to various locations throughout the Houston area. These companies also provide regular services to hotels within the Houseton Metroplex, as well as to Galveston and College Station. Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) offers public bus services from the south side of Terminal C. METRO bus route no.102 is the Bush Intercontinental Airport Express which runs from the airport to/from Greenspoint Mall and the city center. Specific route and schedule information is available (Web site: www.hou-metro.harris.tx.us/homepage.asp). The Greenspoint Flyer (Web site: www.greenspoint.org) is a shuttle bus service operating between the Greenspoint Mall area and the airport. All buses depart from Terminal C.

Car Parking

There are over 23,000 parking spaces at the airport. An additional 5,600 spaces are available in the Terminal A/B garage situated between Terminals A and B. Terminal C covered parking is also available. The Houston Airport System also operates an economy parking lot that provides parking at the corner of Greens Road and JFK Boulevard, with free shuttle service to the terminals. In addition to the economy parking lot, passengers can also choose from a number of off-airport parking facilities with courtesy shuttles to the terminals.

Information Desks

Visitor/airport information is provided at the staffed visitor information centers, located on the baggage claim level of terminals A, B and C and outside US Customs in Terminal D. Multi-lingual special service representatives are available.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: ATMs are located throughout the airport; bureau de change can be found in Terminal D. There are 24-hour postal facilities.

Eating and drinking: Restaurants and bars are available throughout the airport and there are also numerous fast-food outlets and coffee shops in all terminals.

Shopping: There are many shops at the airport. Duty-free shopping is in Terminal D.

Luggage: Trolleys are available at various locations throughout the airport for a small charge. Due to security concerns, lockers are no longer available at the airport. Lost and found is located on the lower level of Terminal A.

Other facilities: Baby changing facilities can be found in the ladies’ toilets and shoe shine services can be found in all terminals.

Airport Hotels

The Houston Airport Marriott (tel: 281 443 2310) is situated between Terminals B and C and provides a complimentary underground tram service direct to the airport. The Clarion Inn Houston (tel: 281 931 0101), Quality Inn Intercontinental Airport (tel: 281 446 9131), Sheraton North Houston (tel: 281 442 5100), Ramada Limited - Bush Intercontinental Airport (tel: 281 442 1830) and Wyndham Greenspoint (tel: 281 875 2222) are also in the vicinity. Many of the hotels operate courtesy buses to/from the airport; these can be booked by contacting the hotel concerned via courtesy telephones in the baggage reclaim area. Airport Conference and Business Facilities

The Houston Airport Marriott (tel: 281 443 2310 or 1 800 228 9290) is located in the center of the terminal complex and provides a complimentary underground train service to/from the airport. The hotel offers a business center with meeting rooms and full office facilities.

Driving Directions

Convenient access to the airport is provided by I-45, US Highway-59, the Hardy Toll Road and the Sam Houston Tollway (Beltway 8). There are three main entrances to the airport terminal complex via JFK Boulevard from the Sam Houston Tollway (Beltway 8), Will Clayton Parkway from US Highway-59 and the Hardy Toll Road (Intercontinental exit). There is a toll for the Hardy Toll Road and the connector exits directly onto JFK Boulevard, northbound.

Car Rentals

All major companies are represented, including Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty. A new consolidated rental car facility is located on the east side of JFK Boulevard, less than 5 minutes from the terminals. A common bus system is shared by all the rental car companies, departing from outside the Arrivals areas of each terminal.
