Good sleep is hard to find. Ask any travel writer and they’ll tell you the drawback to their job is the insomnia that incurs from travel around the world. But there’s good news: Westin Hotels has teamed up with the National Sleep Foundation (NSF) to bring you a perfect night’s sleep.
The National Sleep Foundation hotline, sponsored by Westin Hotels, debuts from Aug. 17, 2009 – Sept. 15, 2009, from 6 p.m. – 1 a.m. For 30 days, the sleep experts will help callers, well, sleep. The hotline (888-TIME-4-SLEEP) will be staffed by NSF members who are medically trained sleep professionals who will offer solutions to common sleep problems.
“Good sleep habits have
such an impact on overall wellness and health and even though we have
made great strides in the past ten years, modern pressures and other
factors hinder the ability for many to get a good night’s rest. We are
proud to partner with the National Sleep Foundation and offer the
public a free resource to help them get a good night’s sleep,” says Nancy London, vice president, global
brand management, Westin Hotels & Resorts, in a prepared press statement.
If you’re an insomniac (like me) who finds the hours of 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. most frustrating, I suggest you get your fingers ready to dial around midnight on Aug. 18. You’ll give the sleep specialist a head start on your sleep problems and might possibly fall asleep before then dreaded 2 a.m. internal clock goes off. If all else fails, book yourself a room at a Westin and see if one of their Heavenly beds provides a little more slumber for your tired soul.
