A significant slice of U.S. travelers plan to take just as many trips this year as they did last year, according to a survey from Fast Park.
In a prepared release, Fast Park says just shy of two-thirds (66 percent) of travelers “plan to take the same number of trips as they did last year.” And “although they do not plan to cut travel plans, they are looking for ways to save money on those trips.”
As often as not, that takes travelers to the Internet. The survey says almost 50 percent of travelers plan to look online for travel deals. More insights: Fast Park finds 27 percent will plan trips that are closer to home, and 21 percent intend to shorten their journeys.
The bottom line from Fast Park’s perspective according to Manuel Chavez, the company’s chief operations officer: “It’s clear that most of our customers want to (or must) continue traveling, despite current economic conditions.”
