Winter weather is just around the corner — and it’s the perfect excuse for hitting the slopes, enjoying cups of hot chocolate and cuddling by the fireplace. So, why not take advantage of the season with a romantic ski getaway? Here are five options this season.

Mont Tremblant, Quebec

This whimsical mountain town offers plenty of winter activities for you and your snow bunny to enjoy, including skiing and snow shoeing. For a more romantic way to enjoy the snow, you can opt for a horse-drawn sleigh ride after a day of couples treatments at one of the local spas. A bed and breakfast or private cottage is the best way to enjoy a romantic weekend at Mont Tremblant.

Stowe, Vt.

Book a weekend at Stowe Mountain Lodge and prepare for two days of pampering and romance.  The Stowe-mance Romance Package includes a bottle of Vermont ice wine, couples massages and a $100 dining credit for the onsite AAA Four Diamond restaurant.

Aspen, Colo.

Romance is practically built into the residences at the Viceroy Snowmass, where your room comes with a fireplace, soaking tub and balcony. The romance package greets you with a cheese platter and chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot, as well as an aromatherapy bath kit when it comes time to unwind in the soaking tub. Breakfast for two is also included.

Northstar at Tahoe, Calif.

Whether you’re spending your time on the slopes or in the shops and spas of the magical village nearby, you’re sure to find plenty of romance in Northstar at Tahoe. Book a stay at the Ritz-Carlton to enjoy a gas fireplace, soaking tub and views of the mountain. During your romantic weekend, you can splurge on the Couples Journey at the onsite spa, which includes a bamboo scrub, a copper tub soak and scalp and body massages.

Jackson Hole, Wy.

Spend your day skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing or tubing your way down the slopes, then unwind by the fire in your luxurious suite at Teton Mountain Lodge and Spa. And don’t let the name fool you: The onsite Solitude Spa offers a rejuvenating couples treatment to highlight your romantic getaway.
