The oneworld alliance of airlines, which includes carriers such as American Airlines and British Airways, has been recognized with a World Travel Award. The organization was named the best airline alliance in the world for the fifth consecutive year at the recent awards ceremony.

Michael Blunt, Vice-President of Corporate Communications at the alliance, commented: “Oneworld is delighted to have received this tremendous vote of confidence once again from some of the most knowledgeable people in the travel industry worldwide.

“It reflects the quality of our airline members and our commitment to deliver alliance customer service better than anyone else.”

At the World Travel Awards, British Airways was hailed as the world’s leading airline, Cathay Pacific’s First Class service was recognized and American Airlines won the best Economy Class category.
