Northwest Airlines has announced a new program for WorldPerks members, in which they can earn bonus miles by booking flights, traveling on the carrier’s flights or staying in a partner hotel.

The program, called Mountain of Miles (Web site: www.nwa.com) requires members to complete any or all of these activities by January 31, 2009.

Some of the offers include earning 200 points after purchase of a new three-year WorldClubs membership, 80 points for signing up for a WorldPerks Visa card, and 30 points for booking a Northwest vacations package.

In addition, the carrier will offer travel prizes to the top three point-earners.
