Passengers arriving at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas will be able to take advantage of a new initiative from 011 Mobile.

A new vending machine has been installed in Terminal 2 offering customers the chance to pick up cell phones and SIM cards before heading into town. Targeted at both domestic and international passengers, the vending machines offer phones with cheap tariffs on calls within the U.S. and to the UK.

Demand for the vending machine has been high, and Mobile 011 has said that it will consider introducing additional ones around the airport.

Shane McFarland, Director of Corporate Relations at Mobile 011, told Information Week that the handsets operate in 12 different languages and can be used immediately.

“They can purchase everything from lower price-point phones all the way up to PDAs.”
