In the second in a two-part series, we’re listing some (more) hints and tips for taking great video with your iPhone 5.

Make your iPhone a retro camera – Super 8 app
Some argue it’s not possible to take decent video on a smartphone. They suggest embracing its shortcomings and recreating the kind of romantic feel once gotten from old cameras like the famous Super 8. This app helps you capture film with the Super 8’s famous mix of over- and under-exposure and scratchy look.

Stylize – Movie Looks HD app
Mimicking the old Super 8 isn’t the only way to stylize your motion picture. With a number of preset looks and loads of customizable options, this app lets you quickly alter the color levels in your film to match some of Hollywood’s most tried and tested effects.

Add your own special effects – Action Movie FX app
Need to add an action movie sequence to your film? Look no further. With this app you have one of your film’s subjects (a character or object) blown up by a rocket, attacked by a robot, crushed by a falling rock or even flattened by a car rolling out of control.

Edit – iMovie app
Of course there’s more to making a good film than simply shooting it. You’ve got to remove the bits you don’t want and stitch together the bits you’re keeping. For sheer editing features nothing matches Apple’s app.
