If you stayed at one of the Radisson Hotels in the last six to eight months and used a credit card to pay for your room, your personal information may have been compromised.

Radisson Hotels said Wednesday that some guests may have had their credit or debit card data stolen, due to a breach of the computer systems at some of the chain’s hotels.

Radisson Chief Operating Officer Fredrik Korallus said in an open letter to guests:

“Radisson has been coordinating with federal law enforcement to assist in the investigation of this incident. While the number of potentially affected hotels involved in this incident is limited, the data accessed may have included guest information such as the name printed on a guest’s credit card or debit card, a credit or debit card number, and/or a card expiration date.

The security breach took place between November 2008
and May 2009. The Radisson did not say how many customer records were accessed, however, the hotel is working with law enforcement and forensic investigators to find the problem of the breach, and prevent a recurrence.

If you were a guest at a Radisson Hotel from November 2008 to May 2009, we suggest calling your credit card company to alert them of this potential security breach.
