If you’re thinking of heading to Paris with the family, you’ll be happy to know the City of Lights offers plenty to keep the little ones entertained. The city is teeming with family-friendly touches like the parks and gardens you’ll find around every corner. Here are five family-friendly things to do on your next trip to Paris.

Champ de Mars Park

With the family in tow, it might not be feasible to make it up the Eiffel Tower. The elevator lines can try even the most patient of children, and the staircase can be daunting with toddlers or young kids. Instead of climbing up the tower, you can head to the nearby Champ de Mars park for great views of the tower. Pack a picnic lunch and plan for a lazy afternoon in one of the city’s largest parks, where you’ll have plenty of photo opportunities with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

La Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie

Paris’ science museum doesn’t disappoint, keeping the entire family entertained with hands-on exhibits covering everything from space to sound to mathematics. Kids will especially enjoy the Cité des Enfants, which has experiments and exploration centers for two- to seven-year-olds and five- to 12-year-olds. Water games, a TV studio and a mock factory are just a few of the activities that will keep the kids entertained.

Jardin des Tuileries

As one of Paris’ most notable gardens, Jardin des Tuileries makes for a scenic morning or afternoon near the Louvre. If the kids have some energy to burn, you can let them loose on a set of trampolines where they can jump to their hearts’ content. The nearby Carrosel de Louvre is also a must-stop for families.

Disneyland Paris

You can’t go wrong when you take the family to Disneyland Paris. Themed attractions, costumed characters and plenty of shows keep the entire family busy during a day at Disneyland.

Cirque d’Hiver

The kids will be full of “oohs” and “ahhs” as they watch trapeze artists fly through the air with the greatest of ease at Cirque d’Hiver, a circus venue near Filles de Calvaire. Clowns, magicians and acrobats provide an authentic and memorable circus experience for the family.
