Passengers at Denver International Airport could benefit from shorter lines at security with the arrival of a new Clear card system.

Denver’s security lanes are currently the second-busiest of all airports using Clear. Eleven million passengers pass through the checks each year.

For an annual fee of $99.95, passengers can enroll on the Clear card system and will be supplied with identity cards complete with encrypted fingerprints or iris images, ensuring faster security checks.

Steven Brill, Chief Executive of Clear, said: “Denver serves a strong population of business travelers, consumers and government – it is a perfect fit within the Clear network.

“Denver is a world-class airport with a record of customer service innovation. We are confident that, given Denver’s passenger volume, it will become one of our largest operations.”

Clear cards are used at several airports across the country including New York John F Kennedy International, Orlando, Jacksonville and Cincinnati.
