This week, the travel industry came face-to-face with some of the hottest news. We scored travel stories from Olympians, Disney and the people who brought us NFL star quarterback Tom Brady, so this week's Weekly Roundup is dedicated to the stories that made us swoon. (After all, it's rare we get the opportunity to spend time searching for pics of the New England Patriots hottie.)

So, in case you missed the news, here's the Cheapflights.com Travel News Weekly Round-up – sports and entertainment style:

Let's hear it for Rio! The International Olympic Committee made it official on Friday – Rio de Janeiro will host the 2016 Summer Olympics. The city that brought us the Copacabana and the caipirinha beat out Tokyo, Madrid, and Chicago. Despite their best efforts, President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and talk show host and humanitarian Oprah Winfrey couldn't raise the votes Chicago needed to win. (We hope they enjoyed their flights to Copenhagen, though).

The Patriots are Coming: It's no Paul Revere, but it's bound to be a wild ride. Only this time, the invasion is reversed. The New England Patriots are heading to London and American Airlines wants to take you there, for free! We can't promise that Tom Brady and his brood will be on the same London flight, but we're sure it's going to be a great game.

It's a Small World, with a Big Heart: This month we brought you articles on voluntourism and special charitable promotions from hotels around the country, but one of our favorite deals this week comes straight from the mouse himself: volunteer for a day and get a free pass to Walt Disney World. You even get a free set of mouse ears.

We also want to give a special shout-outs to the folks a the W Hotels for their Breast Cancer Awareness promotions. Stay at the W during the month of October (Breast Cancer Awareness month) and a portion of your room charge will go to Christina Applegate’s foundation, Right Action for Women.
