A number of New Year sales were announced this week, including discounts on Delta services to European destinations. Not as many new routes announced this week as the economic slowdown deepens, except AirTan services between Columbus and Fort Lauderdale. Meaning, parking at Tucson gets a revamp.

Double Airline Miles for Marriot Rewards Members: Marriot Reward members can start earning double miles when you book hotel stays between Feb.1 and April 30.

Discount Airfare: Delta Offering Discounts Europe: Delta Air Lines is offering cheap flights from Atlanta to several destinations in Europe. Sample prices include flights to Amsterdam or Zurich for $289.

Discount Airfare: U.S. Airways’ Cheap Flights to Telluride:
U.S. Airways is offering cheap flights to Telluride from select U.S. destinations.
Deals include travel between Telluride and Houston for $80, and Telluride and Austin for $105.

New Flights:

AirTran to Launch Columbus-Fort Lauderdale Flights: AirTran is to launch new flights between Columbus and Fort Lauderdale. The new service will begin on March 5.
