The Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking feedback on seven new proposals designed to improve flyers’ experience.
The consultations are open until January 22, 2008, and focus on issues including contingency plans for delays at airports, rules relating to the reporting of customer complaints, and legislation requiring carriers to report on-time performance on international flights.
Teresa Hildebrand, Vice-President of Travel at the AAA Auto Club South, told the Pensacola News Journal: “The Department of Transportation is asking for feedback and I encourage all airline passengers who’ve been dissatisfied with problems such as lengthy delays and inadequate communications to make their voices heard.”
Passengers can provide feedback via the DOT Web site.
