Landing a low-cost airfare is only part of the equation when it comes to wringing maximum savings out of your next trip. The little things add up too – like airport parking.

If you live on the Mid-Atlantic Seaboard, one of the more reasonable places to park your car is Charlotte-Douglas International Airport , US Airways’ strategically-placed southern hub.

In preparation for the summer surge surge CLT recommends calling the airport for up-to-date parking availability at 1-703-359-5555. You can also visit the website. On the fly and got to use a smart phone? No problem, there’s still a way for you to check.

Depending on when you fly, here are some great parking bargains to be had at the airport. Consider:

  • Maximum daily prices at the Long-term Lot are $4.00.
  • Maximum prices at the Daily and Daily North Lots are $1.00 per hour, or $6.00 all day.
  • In a hurry, but don’t want to pay a bunch? Consider Business Valet parking, billed as Charlotte’s best parking deal. It costs $10.00 per day, max. Drop off your vehicle with the valet representative, and take a five-minute bus ride to the airport’s Ticketing level. When you return home, hop the Business Valet bus from that same Ticketing level and pick up your car.

Charlotte-Douglas International Airport offers other parking options as well. But the ones we just outlined should save you some serious money.

If you’re in the Charlotte area and need to get out, head over to Cheapflights so you can save not only on your parking, but on your flight out as well.
