Romantic Getaways

Get help finding the perfect romantic getaway

Romantic getaways can be found all over the world if you know where to look. Key West, Florida is filled with fun places to wine and dine your lover. However, the most romantic spot on the island is Sunset Pier, which is also known as Mallory Square. It’s the westernmost spot on the key, and it offers a wide open view of the Gulf of Mexico. Every evening, weather permitting, hundreds of people gather to watch the sun as it dips beneath the horizon. The colorful spectacle is breathtaking, and everybody in attendance applauds the sun when it sets and ignites the sky with color. It’s a unique romantic getaway. Locals and tourists alike bring their guitars and harmonicas to play music while the sun sets. Afterward, there are several great romantic bars where you can have a slice of key lime pie with your mojito or daiquiri.

Las Vegas, Nevada is another terrific romantic getaway. Where else can you fly into town and be married within hours? If you enjoy the excitement of gambling, you won’t be disappointed. The casinos have plenty of gaming, world-class entertainment and excellent restaurants and buffets. If you love natural settings, Lake Powell and the Grand Canyon are only a few hours away by car. If you visit either of these natural wonders, you’ll never forget the time you spend there.

If you’re a country music fan, Nashville, Tennessee is a great place for a romantic getaway. The downtown strip boasts many historic honky-tonk bars where you can see some of the hottest guitar picking in the world. The Ryman Auditorium is steeped in music history that you can feel from the minute you enter the hall. Many of the biggest stars in country music played countless shows there followed by a few quick beers down the alley at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. A stroll through the Hillsboro area near Vanderbilt University is romantic and fun. In the summer, you’ll be surrounded by the fragrance of the magnolia trees that line the streets.
