Located in Seawell, Christchurch, in Barbados, the name of Grantley Adams International Airport was changed in 1976 to honor the first premier of Barbados. It primarily serves flights to the U.S. and UK (London and Manchester). Around 35 airlines fly from the airport.

Taxi: Taxis operate from the airport, 24 hours a day, including Barbados Tours (tel: +1 246 420 2877) and Quintette (tel: +1 246 428 8735). Taxis operate on a fixed-fare basis and do not have meters; fares should be agreed upon in advance.
Bus: Buses operate regularly to/from the airport; buses are easily-recognizable modern Mercedes Benz buses. A service runs to Bridgetown every 30 minutes 6am-midnight, departing from the Main Road outside the terminal building (journey time: 45 minutes).

There are two car parks at the airport, both within walking distance of the terminal. There is no distinction between short- and long-term parking.

Money and communications: There is a bank, a post office and bureau de change.
Eating and drinking: There is a bar and restaurant at the airport.
Shopping: There are shops, including a pharmacy, souvenir shop, clothes shop, ice-cream parlor, supermarket and delicatessen. There are duty-free shops in the Departures lounge and an in-bound duty-free shop in the Arrivals lounge, open for international flights.
Other facilities: There is a chapel on the mezzanine level.

The Arrivals and Departure halls are located on the ground floor and can be accessed by disabled passengers. There is an elevator to the restaurant on the mezzanine floor and disabled toilets throughout the airport. Wheelchairs can be provided by individual airlines, who will assist passengers onto the aircraft by ambulift; passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.

The Club Caribbean Lounge has a business center, with fax and Internet facilities, as well as meeting rooms. The British Airways and BWIA first- and business-class lounges also have fax and Internet facilities. Airline executive lounges are located on the mezzanine level. The nearby Silver Rock hotel (tel: +1 246 428 2866) has conference facilities, with three venues accommodating up to 200 delegates, and a business center with computers, Internet, fax and photocopying facilities. The Bougainvillea Beach Resort (tel: +1 246 418 0990) offers conference facilities for up to 65 delegates, with audiovisual and other equipment available for hire, and a business center, with telephones and fax facilities, computers and Internet access.
