Getting into Town

Taxi: Metered taxis are available 24 hours a day and are situated outside the Arrivals and Departures areas.

Bus: The Carris AeroBus no.91 runs to the city center (journey time: 20 minutes) and to the Cais do Sodre railway station. Local buses nos.5, 22, 44, 45 and 83 reach several destinations in Lisbon. A Scotturb airport shuttle bus also operates to Estoril and Cascais; tickets are available from the driver.

Car Parking

There are short- and long-term parking options. P1 and P2 are short-term parking lots with direct access to the terminal. P1 is located near Departures and P2 is next to Arrivals. P3 is a long-term outdoor parking lot. The short- and long-term parking lots are located to the right of the terminal at the entrance to the airport. A free airport bus shuttle service links the parking lots and the terminal.

There are information counters in the Arrivals and Departures halls and a tourist information counter in the Arrivals hall.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: Facilities include a bank and a post office in the Departures area and bureau de change in the Departures and Arrivals areas. ATMs situated throughout the airport.

Eating and drinking: There is a wide range of restaurants, snack bars, cafés and fast-food outlets in the Departures area.

Shopping: There are many shops, including duty-free.

Luggage: A baggage storage facility is open daily on level 2 of parking lot P2. The lost property office is located in the police office, in the Departures shopping area (tel: +351 (0)21 849 6132).

Other facilities: An insurance desk is located at the check-in area. There are baby care areas, a first aid room in the Arrivals area, and showers at the Departures boarding lounge.

Airport Hotels

There are no hotels at the airport. Nearby hotels include the Radisson SAS Hotel Lisboa (tel: +351 (0)21 004 5000), the Holiday Inn Lisbon (tel: +351 (0)2 004 4000), Marriott Lisbon (tel: +351 (0)2 723 5400) and the Holiday Inn Continental (tel: +351 (0)2 004 6000).

Airport Disabled Facilities

There are ramps, elevators, specially adapted telephones and toilets. Wheelchairs can be provided by airlines and airline staff can also help wheelchair passengers through customs and immigration; passengers should request any special assistance upon booking a ticket. Disabled car parking spaces are available. There are two elevators to take passengers to different levels.

The Icaro Lounge, Apolo Lounge and Ulisses Lounge, on level 2 of the Arrivals area, can provide basic facilities including Internet, pay phone and fax. Directions

To reach the airport from the north, take the A1 Oporto/Lisbon motorway and then the 2a Circular. From the south, cross the Vasco da Gama bridge, and take the 2a Circular. From Cascais/Estoril, take the A5 motorway, then CRIL (IC 17) and then the 2a Circular. From Parque das Nacoes, take Marechal Gomes da Costa avenue to the Rotunda do Relogio, then the Alameda das Comunidades Avenue Dr Alfredo Bensaude to the 2a Cicular. The airport is clearly marked.

Companies include A A Castanheira/Budget, Auro Rent, Auto Jardim, Avis, Europcar, Hertz, National/Alamo and Sixt, with desks located in the Arrivals area.
