Airline Overview
The Central and Eastern European carrier Wizz Air first took flight in May 2004. Based in Hungary and Poland, flights are available from Belfast, Bournemouth, Cork, Coventry, Doncaster Sheffield, Durham Tees Valley, Glasgow, London Luton and London Stansted to destinations such as Budapest, Gdansk, Warsaw, Katowice and Posnan.
The check-in desks close 40 minutes before departure. If you have special service requests or special needs you should check-in two hours before departure.

Carry-on: Maximum weight is 22lbs (10kg) for items no larger than 115 linear cm (length + width + height).
Checked: All checked luggage is charged a fee of €3 per bag if booked online or €6 per bag at the airport.
Excess: Fee is €8 per kg. You must purchase a separate seat for any fragile item or item that weighs more than 11lbs (5kg), cannot be stored in the overhead compartment, or stowed under the seat, for example, musical instruments, vases, typewriters, and paintings. Oversize baggage includes skis, bicycles, diving equipment and "antlers and trophies".

The date and time of the flight can be changed online up until three hours before the flight departs for an administrative fee of $43 (€30), plus any difference in the cost of the new flight. If the new flight price is lower no refund will be given.

None. Infants under the age of two can travel on an adult's lap. Children under fourteen cannot travel unaccompanied

Wizz Air does not carry live animals on flights, except for guide dogs on domestic flights and to and from airports with a pet passport scheme in place, provided that the guide dog is registered in that scheme.

Standard baggage allowances apply. Alternatively, at the passenger’s option, a separate seat may be purchased for the transport of a large or fragile instrument instead of checking it into the aircraft’s baggage hold.
