Airport Overview
Westchester County Airport (HPN) is just three miles from White Plains in New York State. It is close to the New York-Connecticut border and just 33 miles from Manhattan.
Flights to Westchester County Airport are available from several cities across the United States. Some of the more popular routes are to Atlanta, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Chicago and Detroit. Westchester County Airport is frequently used for private and corporate flights.
Westchester County Airport has a great location, the staff are helpful and when there is only one flight arriving or departing, the lines aren’t long and you get in and out quickly. However, if more than one plane is arriving or departing, then the airport can get quite crowded. In short, it’s a great airport to use if you’re not planning to spend a great deal of time there, as the facilities are modest, with only a few shopping and dining options.

Getting into Town
Train: The MTA Metro-North Railroad is located at the TransCenter in White Plains. Passengers wishing to use the train service to get to their final destination will need to take the Bee-Line Bus No. 12 to the train station.
Taxi: DLC Ground Transportation Services is the only company allowed to pick up passengers at Westchester County Airport. Fares are charged per taxi and a maximum of four people can use one taxi. Fares range from $25-$35 for transport to nearby North Castle, White Plains, Harrison and Rye Brook.
Bus: The Westchester County Bee-Line bus route No. 12 runs between the airport and TransCenter in White Plains.
Car Parking
The only parking garage at Westchester County Airport is adjacent to the main terminal. Rates are available at 30 minute or full day intervals. When picking up passengers, the waiting lot is inconveniently located a half mile from the terminal. Occasionally, when the parking lot fills up, passengers are directed to the overflow lot, situated close to the waiting lot. A free shuttle bus runs a service to and from the overflow parking area.
Information Desks
An unstaffed information kiosk can be found in the main terminal building. Passengers can use the kiosk for information and tourism pamphlets.
Airport Facilities
Money and communications: An ATM is located on the second floor near the escalator.
Luggage: Trolleys are available at the airport. Lost-and-found queries are handled through an online form on the airport’s website.
Conference and business: Workstations are available at the airport and the airport’s gift shop provides a fax service. A conference room is also available on site. Alternatively, the Renaissance Westchester Hotel in White Plains is fully equipped for conferences and business functions.
Other facilities: Baby-changing facilities are available. The airport is also fully equipped to assist passengers with special needs.
Wi-Fi: Boingo provides a Wi-Fi hotspot at the airport, accessible by subscribers or by paying a daily fee.
Shopping: Shopping options at Westchester County Airport are limited to one small gift shop, so it’s best to get all your shopping done before arriving at the airport.
Food and drink: Food and beverage options at the airport are somewhat limited. Passengers can choose from a number of kiosks as well as a coffee shop and a great restaurant overlooking the landing strip. A bar is also available at the airport.
