In the spirit of saving money, and the hope of a quick financial recovery, Joie de Vivre – California’s largest boutique hotel collection – is offering a “Tax Relief” promotion to all Americans who book hotel stays at any of its 30 hotels. The hotel will cover all occupancy taxes for the duration of your stay through April 15, 2009.

Joie de Vivre hotels are located in Sacramento, Oakland, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Sunnyvale, Huntington Beach and throughout California. In a press release from Joie de Vivre, Chip Conley, Joie de Vivre’s founder and chief executive officer said, “We hope this promotion will encourage more Americans to think of California as a ‘state of relief’ during a time when many people are looking for a refuge from the bad news.”

The Joie de Vivre hotels are designed to match personalities and preferences. The “rock ‘n roll” Phoenix Hotel in San Francisco will help travelers unleash their inner-guitar hero; stay at the hip Hotel Angeleno in Los Angeles and spend your savings on Rodeo Drive. Cheap flights to California are available at the drop of a hat, and combined with this hotel offer, travelers can save coin in California and have more opportunity to spend on a few more luxurious items.

Need more incentive? Check out the tax-relief campaign benefits via Joie de Vivre’s YouTube video. To receive tax relief promotion, guests must book in advance using the promotional code “CALTAX” at Joie de Vivre’s Web site. The offer is valid for U.S. residents and applies to the best available rate at time of booking.
