In 2005, Marc Dennis, an American artist and entomophagy (insect eating) enthusiast, began advertising ‘bug dinners’ in his Brooklyn apartment. Apparently there are 1,462 edible species of insect on the planet and eating them is a tradition that many countries all over the world take part in.

Try out the ‘Love Bug’ salad, which comes with pan-fried locusts and crickets in chili and garlic.
This Californian restaurant has been offering insect delicacies for more than 10 years. The menu includes Chambi ants, Thai style sea worms and Taiwanese crickets. Yum!
Recently named one of the best Indian restaurants in the world, this Canadian restaurant’s menu includes a Naan Pizza with Tomato, Paneer and Roasted Crickets.
Never Never Land “Outback”, Berlin
Australian themed restaurant Never Never Land serves up whole plates of Crocodile, Crispy Locust and Zophobas Bugs with a modest herb salad.
Mexican restaurant, Toloache, offers a range of Tacos with various fillings, one being Oaxacan Style Dried Grasshoppers.
