It’s official: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens on June 18 at Universal Orlando Resort, and muggles everywhere will have the chance to explore the magical parts of the Hogwarts Castle and other mystical places in Harry’s world.

The star of the show is the thrilling ride, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey – an attraction for which entirely new technology was invented. It’s here that you’ll see the the first-ever combination of live-action advanced robotic technology paired with innovative filmmaking. Other rides include the Flight of the Hippogriff and the Dragon Challenge.

Guests will be able to enter a life-like version of Hogwarts Castle, complete with Dumbledore’s office, where Harry learns important lessons about himself and his future; the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, where ever-rotating professors mix magical concoctions; the Room of Requirement, which served as Harry’s safety zone in the later books; and the Gryffindor Common Room, where Harry and pal Ron and Hermoine socialize and plan adventures.

Travel by floo powder, try your hand at Quidditch, and taste the sweets of Honeydukes and the butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks Inn. Special attention to detail was paid – and in some cases, creators traveled to Scotland to consult with author J.K. Rowling to ensure on the project’s exact likenesses.

Journey to Orlando for opening weekend.
