Oh, Madison Avenue… how I love thee, with your Barneys and Bergdorf and all the high-fashion stores a gal can want. But you make my heart swoon when you welcome New York hotels with reasonably priced rates on your tony street.
Enter: The MAve hotel – a Desires hotel that is set to open its doors at the end of July with rates as low as $169 a night.
Located at Madison Avenue and 27th Street, the MAve is being touted as a modern hotel with an “urban flair and creative attitude of New York City cool.” Of course, we’re not quite sure what kind of ‘cool’ they’re referring to, but the hotel is located in the Flatiron District so we’ll give it a few points for location-chic.
The 72-room boutique hotel features H2O Aquatics bath & spa products, free WiFi, velour bathrobes, and 32″ LCD TV’s.
According to its Web site, The MAve is celebrating the hotel’s Grand Opening by giving guests a free night when they book two nights. We checked it out and their word is true: a single room with a full bed and all the amenities is only $169 a night when you book at least two nights.
