Christchurch’s city center in New Zealand is blooming with vibrant color and edgy designs thanks to a new Street Art initiative.
Statues, paintings and sculptures have been springing up across the city, especially in the areas left scarred by the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes.
Since the indefinite closure of its earthquake-damaged Montreal St. headquarters, Christchurch Art Gallery has taken a new collection of 17 commissioned pieces directly to the public as Street Art flourishes in the Garden City.
