If there’s one thing Seattleites are known for, it’s their diehard devotion to caffeine. The Emerald City has spread its coffee obsession around the world by giving us coffee giants like Tully’s, Seattle’s Best and, of course, Starbucks. With that level of coffee commitment, it’s not too surprising to discover a 25-foot tall coffee pot alongside a road in a neighboring Northwest city of Seattle.

Today, you can swing by Bob’s Java Jive to check out some of the area’s top DJs or get in on the nightly karaoke fun. It’s divey, kitschy and eclectic, but that’s what makes it a Tacoma institution. While you’re there, don’t forget the giant coffee pot also serves up classic dive bar fare like burgers and deep-fried appetizers. (Main image: grenade)
