It’s safe to say there’s a lot of pressure when it comes to planning the perfect proposal. From finding the right ring to planning out every last detail for how you’ll pop the question, asking the person of your dreams to marry you is no simple feat.

But one way to up the ante is by picking the ultimate location. After all, how could your significant other say no when you’re popping the question in front of the Eiffel Tower in the world’s romance capital, or while you’re soaking up a picture-perfect sunset in the tropics of Koh Phi Phi in Thailand?

So what kinds of destinations set the right tone when you’re asking that special someone to spend a lifetime with you? Ultimately, the answer will be different for every couple.
