Airports can offer all sorts of amenities for rushed business travelers – business center, airports clubs, the whole gamut. It’s terrific when they take the time to consider other less high-profile clientele as well, such as nursing mothers.

That’s precisely what Minneapolis/St. Paul International has done. The Twin Cities airport, home base for Northwest Airlines, offers a pair of locations for nursing moms. One is located on the second level above the C Concourse rotunda, at the north end of the concourse connector. That’s in the main Lindbergh Terminal.

The nursing moms’ enclave is outfitted with a rocking chair, side table, lamp and emergency telephone. This room, identified by the international breastfeeding icon, is kept under lock and key when not in use. Go to the Travelers Assistance information desk on Concourse C for access. It’s near Gate 12.

There’s also a Family Room at the entrance to Concourse E. It has leather couches, another rocking chair, changing table and crib. Family restrooms are sited directly across from the room.
