Whether you’re squeezing in a last-minute winter getaway or an early spring break, you’ll have plenty of travel options this March. This month brings some of the year’s biggest festivals to destinations around the world. Check out March’s best fests below.

Carnaval Miami & Calle Ocho, Miami, Fla., March 1, 2 & 9

Miami erupts into a non-stop party on the first weekend of March during Carnaval, the city’s largest Hispanic festival. You’ll find all sorts of festivities in the streets, including concerts, cooking contests, a dominos tournament and a Miss Carnaval contest. A week later, Carnaval is brought to a close with its grand finale: Calle Ocho, an incredible street party held March 9.

Mardi Gras, New Orleans, La., March 4

New Orlean’s biggest party rolls into the French Quarter on March 4, when the city shuts down for parades, parties and, of course, plenty of beads. On Mardi Gras, you can immerse yourself in the colorful costumes, jazz and festivals that make up this renowned party scene.
