Experience the culture of Japan and learn about its Samurai history without ever crossing the Pacific Ocean. In honor of the “Lords of the Samurai” exhibit at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, Hotel Kabuki in Japantown is offering their own Samurai Package with a corner king room and other perks.

Hotel Kabuki is part of the Joie de Vivre hotel group, which offers other themed packages at their San Francisco-area hotels. Another favorite: Free tickets to the Tutankhamen exhibit at the deYoung Museum and a “Suite Fit for a King.”
The exhibit displays more than 160 works, including armor, musical instruments, paintings and swords. We searched for a room in September and found nightly rates starting at $179.
The Hotel Kabuki package is good through Sept. 19.
