That’ll help the medicine go down.

Apple Event – San Francisco (March 7)

This is no annual event. It won’t be on the top of everyone’s list of things to do either. But any geek worth their weight in Apple know-how will have heard about it. It’s all over the blogs. Will the legendary Steve Jobs-founded company unveil the newest version of the iPad – the iPad 3! Will the iPad 3 come in three different connectivity versions? Will the iPad 3 have front and rear cameras? Will the iPad 3 be slimmer? Lighter? Have a non-smudge screen? You get the picture. Those keen will be buying their flights and booking their hotels quick than you can say iPad 3!

St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Chicago (March 17)

The Irish are abundant in Chicago and it all comes to the fore on Paddy’s Day. The fun begins first thing in morning when the river gets dyed green – a tradition begun in the ‘60s and nicknamed the ‘Irish Miracle’ (the dye is actually orange but, so the story goes, is turned to its true shade of kelly green by the leprechauns). Any of the bridges that cross the river are good for a view. But head to Balbo Avenue and Columbus Drive in Grant Park for the parade from 12pm.

The Top Gear Live Show – Stockholm (March 16-17)

The world’s biggest (and some would say best) automotive theater show hits Sweden’s picturesque little city of Stockholm next month. Famed in the UK for its inferno of burning cars, test drives and wild stunts, this is Top Gear’s attempt at world domination. And it seems to be working. TV host, Jeremy Clarkson, with his typically droll British humor is a big draw. As are the expensive, powerful and downright absurdly modified cars. The spherical construction of Sweden’s symbolic Ericsson Globe is a good pull too.

Winter Music Conference – Miami (March 16-25)

A trip to Miami at any time of the year is good for us. But pair it with a ticket to this huge Miami Beach-based music event and you’re sure to get your money’s worth. Renowned for launching the industry’s hottest new bands, technologies and trends, it’s become something of a must-do event for any music fan. They’re also turning things up a gear for 2012 – with two full weekends of parties and events planned, including the Music Meets Fashion and Indie Rock Meets Electronica programs.

Art Dubai – Dubai (March 21-24)

In only five years, Art Dubai has become the cornerstone for a quickly evolving contemporary Middle Eastern art community. In fact, it is the largest and most established contemporary art fair in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia combined. This year features 70 galleries from 32 different countries, a program of artists’ residencies and commissioned projects, workshops and tours (the 2012 Abraaj Capital Art Prize and the critically-acclaimed Global Art Forum included). Its location at the Madinat Jumeirah brings luxury guaranteed.
