New York City: Macy’s
New York City seems to do everything right. Fireworks are no exception. Boston: Boston Pops

On the Esplanade near the Charles River at 10:30 p.m., the Boston Pops will play Tchaikovsky’s “1812” Overture and commemorate the nation’s freedom. This year will be the biggest and most intricate display to date, with 20,000 pounds of explosives reaching twice as high as the Hancock Tower, so book a flight to Boston this Fourth of July weekend to make history.
Washington DC: Independence Celebration
In a historic year for the white house, the nation’s capital is putting out all the stops for this sacred holiday. A parade of 100 marching units will march down Constitution Avenue at noon, and from noon to 5 p.m., popular bands will play outdoor concerts until the National Symphony Orchestra takes over on the Washington Monument Grounds.
