Bad weather conditions yesterday (Monday, October 13) delayed several flights at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that at least four flights were affected.

Greg Meyer, airport spokesman, told the news provider that at 2:20pm, the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) issued a “gate hold”, where flights are not allowed to take off until the weather clears.

By 3:10pm, two American Airlines flights to Chicago and two JetBlue flights to New York had been delayed.

Flights at Miami International Airport were not affected, Mark Henderson, airport spokesman, told the news provider.
