Officials at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) vowed to propose new limits on how many hours airline pilots can fly. The change in flight hours would limit the amount of hours an airline pilot could fly on a given day in an effort to curb pilot fatigue.

This issue, which has been discussed on and off for nearly two decades, resurfaced after the crash of Continental Express Flight 3407, on Feb. 12 near Buffalo, N.Y., which killed 50 people.

MSNBC is reporting that the new rules could be proposed within the next few months.

Current FAA regulations limit pilots to no more than 16 hours on duty and eight hours of scheduled flight time. Pilots must also have eight hours off between shifts. The new rule hasn’t been released yet, but we want to know what you think: Are the current flight hours satisfactory, or should the FAA enforce new flight time hours?
