American Airlines has announced a partnership with breast cancer organization Susan G Komen for the Cure, which will see passengers awarded additional frequent-flyer miles for any donations made to the charity.

Between now and May 31, members of the AAdvantage Miles program will be able to make donations online at AA.com/komen.

For every dollar pledged to the charity, customers will be rewarded with five AAdvantage points.

Roger Frizzell, Vice-President of Corporate Communications and Advertising at America, said: “The fight against breast cancer touches so many people.

“It’s a cause we know literally thousands of our customers and employees are passionate about. It’s terrific to be able to support such an important organization while rewarding our customers with AAdvantage miles.”

American Airlines has supported the Susan G Komen for the Cure organization since it was established more than 20 years ago.
