To drive or to fly? There’s more to the equation than how much you’ll spend on gas. How much time you spend on the road looms large, especially during the busy summer driving season. When an airline can come close to matching in airfare what you’ll spend on gas and vehicle wear and tear, grab the cheap flight.

That’s the reasoning Alaska Airlines is counting on in its intra-Pacific Northwest flight sale. Book and buy no later than July 6. Fly from July 6 through Sept. 30. Blackout dates apply, and you’ll have to do a 21-day advance purchase. Taxes and fees are not included in these one-way fares.
