Here’s a trend that’s catching on at airports, eateries, and hotels across the country: a complete prohibition on puffing. No smoking. Period.

The Crowne Plaza Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport is the latest property to adopt the position. Come June 1, the hotel will be rendered entirely smoke-free: all guest rooms, the restaurant, all meeting rooms, and all public areas.

The six-story Crowne Plaza is sited four miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul International (MSP) and a like distance from the Mall of America, a huge tourist draw in this part of the country which attracts visitors from as far afield as Japan.

Facilitating passage to the Mall is the positioning of MSP as home base for Northwest Airlines.

Further convenience? The hotel is at the entrance to one of the Twin Cities’ largest business parks, and is within 15 miles of both downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul.
