Long layovers and flight delays are some of our least favorite reasons to be stuck at an airport, but at least a good airport bar can make the experience much more tolerable. Whether you need to pass some time between flights or are looking to get your buzz on before a trip, be sure to grab a drink at one of these awesome airport bars in the U.S.

Stone Brewing Co., San Diego International Airport

San Diego has quickly become one of the nation’s top spots for craft beer, so it’s only fitting that a layover in this sunny SoCal city is best spent with a local beer in hand. You’ll get just that at Stone Brewing Co. at Terminal 2, where you can sip their signature brew: Stone I.P.A. Beer lovers will also appreciate the freshness of Stone’s Enjoy By IPA, and bottles are available for you to take on your trip (the bar is past the security checkpoint).

One Flew South, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

Just because you’re stuck at the airport doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to enjoy a fine dining – and drinking – experience. At least, that’s what they believe at One Flew South at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The wine list spans the globe, while the beer selection features craft picks from the likes of Allagash Brewing Company and New Belgium Brewing Company. It’s the cocktails that truly steal the spotlight at this airport bar, though; more than a dozen craft cocktails will leave you looking forward to your next layover in Atlanta.

Le Grand Comptoir, George Bush Intercontinental Airport

This award-winning bar is a welcome refuge for wine-loving travelers stuck at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport. More than 50 vintages are available by the glass at Le Grand Comptoir, and more than 100 premium wines from around the world are on the menu. From deep, full-bodied red varietals to crisp and light whites, there’s a wine for everyone at Le Grand Comptoir.

Vino Volo, San Francisco International Airport

Even if your layover in San Francisco doesn’t afford you enough time to head into Napa Valley for a taste of the region’s award-winning wines, you can still sample varietals during your short stay at Vino Volo. Escape the hustle and bustle of the airport at this upscale wine bar, where wine flights and charcuterie boards will put your mind at ease before the next leg of your trip.

Tootsies, Nashville International Airport

Of course Music City USA would up the airport bar ante with live music to keep you entertained. This airport lounge is a smaller version of the original Tootsies that’s a mainstay of downtown Nashville, but you’ll still enjoy everything Tootsies is known for: comfort food, cold beer and local musicians.

Where’s your favorite place to grab a drink while you wait for your flight?
