Hear that sound? It’s the start of music festival season! As the weather warms up people come out in droves to hear their favorite bands all over the country. Check out the spring line up:

Coachella

Indio, California
April 12-14; 19-21

The desert region of Indio, Calif. transforms for two weekends into what may sometimes be called the most popular of all American music fests. And since Indio is a bit of a quiet town, it’s truly all about the music and funky fashion. Expect to see lots of neon, crochet and floral prints. Music acts include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Vampire Weekend, Phoenix and Modest Mouse.

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

New Orleans, Louisiana
April 26-28; May 2-5

More commonly referred to as “Jazz Fest,” these two weekends in The Big Easy encompass much more than just tunes. There’s an entire food component where vendors set up in different areas around the city to sell their hometown specialties like crawfish bread, boudin and fried shrimp po’ boys. The event also features a cultural component in the form of the Louisiana Folklife Village. Music acts include Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, John Mayer and Patti Smith.

Bottle Rock

Napa Valley, California
May 9-12

It doesn’t get much better than Napa Valley for a music festival backdrop. If you can break away from checking out the incredible scenery, delicious restaurants and famous vineyards you’ll be rewarded with an awesome lineup. Music acts include Kings of Leon, The Black Keys, Train and Jane’s Addiction.

Sasquatch! Music Festival

Quincy, Washington
May 24-27

The Gorge, where Sasquatch! takes place, is one of the most scenic concert locations in the U.S. thanks to it’s cliff side location overlooking the Columbia River. Many people opt to camp for this particular festival thanks to the stellar view and the fact that the camping price is included in a festival ticket. Music acts include Mumford & Sons, The XX, The Lumineers and Imagine Dragons.

Governor’s Ball

Randall’s Island, New York
June 7-9

What better excuse to plan a trip to the Big Apple? Spend a few days sightseeing before this endless party of a festival. Music acts include Kanye West, Kings of Leon, Guns N’ Roses and Feist.
