American Airlines has announced a new sweepstakes in collaboration with cell-phone company Nokia.

The On the Move sweepstakes is offering passengers who access the mobile version on AA.com the opportunity to win prizes including extra AAdvantage miles and flights to Los Angeles.

As part of the promotion, customers will also have the chance to win tickets for a red-carpet event at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

The airline has also launched an Instant Win competition on the mobile Web site, which includes up to 100,000 loyalty points as prizes.

Derek DeCross, American’s Managing Director of Interactive Marketing, said: “This promotion is a fun way to highlight the fact that our mobile version of AA.com enables travelers to access many of the helpful features on AA.com via a Web-enabled cell phone or device, without the need for a desktop or laptop computer.

“We continue to strive to enhance the travel experience for our customers, and the mobile version of AA.com is another way we’ve done that.”

All passengers will have to register online at AA.com/promo to enter the competitions, which will run until June 16.
