Boeing has been in the news for its delays and milestones for its Dreamliner 787, and again for its competitions with Airbus. Now, Boeing’s making headlines for its brand new aircraft assembly plant, which recently broke ground.

The plant is located in South Carolina, near the Charleston International Airport. The $730 million project will be the largest industrial investment in South Carolina’s history, and the state contributed $170 million to the project. The development is expected to create 3,800 jobs within seven years, and employ 2,000 construction workers.
