AirTran Airways has announced a partnership with online wine company 800wine.com, which will offer passengers extra frequent-flyer miles.

Members of AirTran’s A+ Rewards program will earn A+ credits when shopping at the Web site for wines, glasses and gifts. The Web site will keep track of total spending and group purchases together so customers can qualify for frequent-flyer miles.

Tad Hutcheson, Vice-President of Marketing and Sales for AirTran Airways, said: “We are proud to announce our partnership with 800wine.com, which will be a great benefit to wine connoisseurs and frequent travelers.”

Jim McClellan, Executive Vice-President of WSN Systems Corporation, the parent company of 800wine.com, added: “We are delighted to partner with AirTran Airways and their highly regarded A+ Rewards program.

“We look forward to helping expand the options that AirTran Airways customers have for earning more A+ Rewards credits.”
