The retail and food concessions at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport are to be improved as part of a new partnership between BAA USA and the City of Cleveland.

An Airmall, similar to the ones developed by BAA USA at Pittsburgh International, Boston Logan, and Baltimore/Washington airports, will be established at the site.

New food and retail stores featuring national and international brands will be opened at the airport, following a year-long selection process.

Frank Jackson, City of Cleveland Mayor, said: “Cleveland Hopkins International Airport represents the gateway to our city for visitors from around the globe, and we look forward to the transformation of the retail concessions program.”

Ricky D Smith from Cleveland Airport System added that the project will create concessions that will offer “quality goods and services to the airline passenger”.

“This is something that the discerning traveler has come to expect,” he concluded.
