You can get Guinness in Ireland, tap Sam Adams in Boston and taste the (Miller) High Life in Milwaukee, but did you know that Denver hosts the largest collection of beers on tap? (We didn’t either, but we’re glad to see Denver kicked off the season with a few brews.)

Hop a flight to Denver for the first ever Denver Beer Fest. Just in time to warm up the crowds for Ocktoberfest, the Denver Beer Fest offers 150 beer-themed events over 10 days and includes the Great American Beer Festival (GABF), which this year is offering the largest collection of beers ever assembled for tasting. Get your goggles ready because this will be hard to tackle: more than 1,900 American tap beers and 400 bottle beers will be available to taste at the GABF. (Thankfully, the tastings come in 1-ounce samples.)

The beer festival, which takes place Sept. 24-26 in Denver, will also couple brews with bites, and connect Denver travelers with some of the city’s finest restaurants offering beer-paired dinners. Of course, Denver’s brew pubs and bars are offering tastings, brewery tours and more. You won’t go bored here –Colorado brews more beer than any other state, thanks to the Coors Brewery – the largest single brewing site in the world.

Getting thirsty? Check out the complete events listing on your flight to Denver, and get special hotel packages and rates for your stay. You can also download your discount taxi coupons from the Denver Beer Fest website, sponsored by Yellow Cab. VISIT DENVER encourages all guests to enjoy responsibly.
