Transpacific flying comprises some of the longest nonstop stretches on the planet. Fly one and you know it pays to be able to stretch out. The issue is, how much do you have to pay? Not as much as you might think if you book discounted Premium Economy passage on Qantas. The cabin comes with plenty of comforts, but what it mostly offers is more blessed room.

Qantas is selling round-trip Premium Economy seats starting at $2,380 from the United States to Australia. That’s a 45 percent savings. Other savings are in the 40 percent range, still substantial. Book and buy no later than Wednesday, Dec. 12. Depending on the city from which you depart travel between either Feb. 4, 2013 – April 30, 2013 or Feb. 1, 2013 – April 30, 2013. Either way, that’s low season Downunder.
