Located just 10 miles from downtown Houston, Houston Hobby Airport (HOU) is one of the most convenient airports in America. Now, it’s also one of the most acclaimed.

The Airports Council International (ACI) says Houston Hobby is among the top five performing airports worldwide and offers “premier customer service” for Houston travelers.

The assessment is amassed from more than 200,000 questionnaires completed by passengers at 108 airports worldwide. Flyers rated cleanliness, atmosphere, friendliness, accessibility, and how well signs were designed and placed to help guide travelers through the airport.

Houston Hobby won honors in a couple of categories: Best Airports Worldwide for the North American Region and Best Airport by size among airports welcoming between 5 and 15 million passengers per year.

In a prepared release, ACI Director Angeles Gittens says, “Survey results show that overall passenger satisfaction continues to improve year-on-year…which demonstrates that airports very much care about their customers, no matter how tough the economic situation.”
