Whether you’d rather splash the cash on your apartment or save it all to spend in the clubs, this city has a range of great hotels to suit any vacation. Book flights to Miami and you know you’ll be staying in style.

Bentley Hotel – Perfect for a boutique getaway

One of the best boutique hotels in Miami, the Bentley isn’t quite as posh as its English classic car nametag. Although pretty understated from the outside, all Bentley rooms are suites complete with seriously comfortable beds, marble bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens, but they won’t cost you a fortune. Best of all, for a relatively small hotel, the rooftop pool has spectacular views over the coastline. Another perk comes with the Bentley’s private beach, complete with butlers and pampering to fulfill your every whim. A serious bargain.

Chelsea Hotel – Perfect for young professionals

The Chelsea is a great place to stay if you like things sleek. Art deco, and a favorite with people in their late 20s, it does decent rooms for lower prices so you can spend more when you’re out. The bedrooms are simple but stylish, with wooden floors, subtle lighting and huge comfy beds to crash out on. On the downside, it doesn’t have a pool, but most other hotels will share if you look good in a swimsuit. This means that the terrace is a major hangout spot, both for an hour of free pregame drinks in the evening and breakfasts in the morning. VIP passes to all South Beach clubs and the prime location – at the very center of Washington Avenue – make it a gem.

Fontainebleau – Perfect for an iconic stay

If you want to stay where James Bond played cards and Tony Montana chilled by the pool, the Fontainebleau is the hotel for you. A recent $1 billion renovation has added two new towers filled exclusively with suites, bringing the room total up to 1,500. All rooms come equipped with HD flat screen TVs, sound systems and 20” iMacs, while six amazing pools and multiple luxury cabanas complete the atmosphere outside. Also boasting a 40,000-foot spa and dozen top-rated restaurants, and private access to 22 acres of beach – it’s no wonder the Fontainebleau is back at the top of Miami’s hotel scene.

The Setai – Perfect for splashing the cash

Forget the price tag for a minute, although they don’t like doing that in Miami, and focus on the aesthetic – The Setai is a seriously beautiful hotel. A subtle mix of Asian and Art Deco influences (trust us, they work) create a serene, spacious luxury. The softly lit suites host handmade Dux king-sized beds, and lead on to bathrooms with enormous showers and black granite bathtubs, while the teak walls are decorated with antique jade pieces sourced from Chinese markets. Three pools offer a variety of temperatures, the spa has every treatment you could dream of, and the hotel’s private beach is just outside its gates. If you’re looking for opulent bliss, you can do little better. Unless you rent the penthouse suite, which has it’ own rooftop pool. Just saying.

The Whitelaw – Perfect for hipsters

Operating under the slogan “clean sheets, hot water, stiff drinks,” The Whitelaw is the ideal hotel for young people who like to party. Friendly staff are there from the moment you arrive, with complimentary drinks to get the night started from 7pm – 8pm, and can get VIP passes to most nightspots in town. The Belgian sheets are crisp, bathrooms are marble, and true to South Beach’s Art Deco heritage, the décor is spotted with period touches. A great location on Collins Avenue and 8th Street tops it all off as one of the best spots in town for people watching. Cool, affordable, and perfect for the younger crowd.
