If watching Serena Williams and Roger Federer makes you want to get out there and practice your backhand, then travel to one of these tennis hot spots nearby that honor the court as much as you do.

International Tennis Hall of Fame, Newport, RI
The international Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island is home to the only fully public grass courts in the United States. The site of the original US championship, the Hall of Fame also hosts its own grass-court season that begins in Mid-May and lasts throughout September each year. In a few weeks (July 5-11) it will host Campbell’s Hall of Fame Championships, and induct the newest members.

Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, Mexico
If you like a little luxury with your practice, there are few places that do it better than the Four Seasons. Aside from its extensive tequila tastings, gourmet dining options, and frequent displays of baby turtles on the beach, this glamorous resort also highlights a passion for tennis. Its original four-court complex was completely redone to showcase a brand new facility with 10 courts – half hard, and half artificial grass. After a tough match, we have no worries that you’ll be able to relax in complete and utter comfort.

International Tennis Academy in Port St. Lucie, Florida
This Floridian establishment is less concerned with pampering its guests and far more focused on making sure they’re on their way to greatness. The high-performance academy limits the number of students they allow to ensure individual attention, and its coaches and trainers have worked with stars like Andre Agassi, Monica Seles and Jim Courier. Whether you want to travel and play in the summer or winter, it offers full-year training, with special summer camps for juniors.

Hampton’s Surf and Tennis, New York
For some, the Hamptons scream lavish summer getaways, and for others, it means days of intensive playing. One of the most flexible adult tennis camps in the country, Hamptons Surf and Tennis offers clinics on stroke production, feet work, and strategy, and pairs tennis conditioning with afternoon options of surfing, swimming, and yoga. We can only imagine how the posh Montauk Manor (its accommodations) spoils its guests.

Tennis Gardens at the Longboat Key Club & Resort
Florida is thick with tennis society, and the newly-opened Tennis Gardens is high on the list of elegance and prestige. One of the country’s top tennis courts, the complex at the Longboat Key Club & Resort boasts 20 Har-Tru courts, a club house, fully stocked Pro Shop, locker and activity room, player’s patio, and the Court 21 Café & Lounge with terrace seating. Guests can play, attend group events and experience tailored programs for free.
